    Oh did I mention it’s also kid-approved? My kids would have this strawberry oatmeal smoothie every day and be happiest kids alive. It’s a perfect oatmeal breakfast smoothie and will fill you with the energy needed to get going on your day.

    This is the perfect quick and easy smoothie recipe for when you are on the go, but want something fresh, healthy and filling. Oh, and did I mention yummy? Yeah, that too. Keep on reading to see how you make this delicious beverage from heaven.

     

    Smoothie Ingredients

      Adjust Servings:
      1 cup Strawberrie
      1 banana (the riper the banana is, the sweeter it will be) Banana
      ½ cup Old Fashioned Oats
      ½ cup Coconut Milk
      1 cup Water
      1 tbsp Coconut Oil
      2 tbsp Honey

      How to make. Steps

      Preparing

      Soak oats in hot water for 20 minutes. Wash strawberries and peel banana.

      Blend the soaked oats

      Blend the soaked oats with ½ cup of coconut milk for 3 minutes

      Add all extra ingredients

      Add all extra ingredients in the blender and continue blending until smooth (usually 1 minute)

      Recipe Notes

      Something else to consider, if you have high cholesterol, consider adding a half of an avocado, instead of coconut oil. Sometimes coconut oil can spike your cholesterol if you have it every day over a long period of time. Keep that in mind as you go on your health journey.

      Some ingredients don’t work for everyone and the beauty of these recipes is that you can make them work for you.

      If you want a creamier oatmeal breakfast smoothie, add cashew milk, almond milk or yogurt instead of coconut milk. Any of these ingredients will provide extra healthy fats, which are important when you are trying to lose weight.

      Plus, if you add Greek yogurt, that will also enhance the amount of protein you will be getting. This is going to keep you fuller, longer. Also, it makes the oat smoothie even tastier.
